Spring Nocturne

I love spring nights, the cool air rolling around the April moon, down onto my balcony and through the door where I'm lonesome, painting late into the night...

Tony Renner- This Sunday at Urban Eats Cafe!

The incomparable Tony Renner will be showing his latest jazz-inspired paintings at Urban Eats CafĂ© (http://www.urbaneatscafe.com/) this Sunday, April 19th for a New Orleans jazz-themed brunch (red beans & rice! Booze!) from 11am to 2pm. Curt “Gaptoof” Landes will be providing the musical entertainment. I’m there, dude!

If you didn’t know about Tony’s work, check out his unusually prolific blog, http://tonyrenner.blogspot.com/. I have a killer painting by Mr. Renner, “Miles Davis, circa 1975” framed in my collection that I’m CRAZY about (see attached pics)! Come out and show your support for one of my favorite St. Louis artists- Tony is a one-of-a-kind, juggernaut of creativity and ambition that continually amazes me. He’s also a radio dj, poet, musician, and swell guy.

Viva Cuba's Annual "Chair-itable Auction"

Sons and Daughters of Cuba, Missouri, Art Lovers-

My hand-painted table created for Viva Cuba’s Annual “Chair-itable Auction” is now on display at the People’s Bank of Cuba, Washington Street branch until April 24th, at which time it will be displayed at the Cuba Chamber of Commerce Banquet for an evening of great food, people, and coming together for the benefit of our great city.

From the banquet, my table along with several other hand-painted furniture items will travel to the Highway 19 branch of People’s Bank of Cuba for display and further bidding. On Saturday May 9th from 9am – 12:30pm, the final bidding/auction of these items will commence at Java.net Gifts and Books on Highway 19. Route 66 Fudge Shop will also be selling special Mother’s Day treats during the auction- Yummy! 100% of the proceeds will go toward mural maintenance and the city beautification projects of Viva Cuba. See our beautiful murals online: http://www.crawfordco.com/murals/

Better hurry- there is already a bid on my table!
