The incomparable Tony Renner will be showing his latest jazz-inspired paintings at Urban Eats Café (http://www.urbaneatscafe.com/) this Sunday, April 19th for a New Orleans jazz-themed brunch (red beans & rice! Booze!) from 11am to 2pm. Curt “Gaptoof” Landes will be providing the musical entertainment. I’m there, dude!
If you didn’t know about Tony’s work, check out his unusually prolific blog, http://tonyrenner.blogspot.com/. I have a killer painting by Mr. Renner, “Miles Davis, circa 1975” framed in my collection that I’m CRAZY about (see attached pics)! Come out and show your support for one of my favorite St. Louis artists- Tony is a one-of-a-kind, juggernaut of creativity and ambition that continually amazes me. He’s also a radio dj, poet, musician, and swell guy.
