These cardboard pieces were inspired by my friend, artist Tony Renner, who suggested back in January a possible future collaborative show of works on cardboard. While this has never really been realized, we both HAVE been working on cardboard since, in our own styles, and I've managed to sell a couple created since the seed was planted. Painted on cut corrugated cardboard, the "January" pieces took on a really different personality when framed in 8-ply mats w/glass over them- like a prehistoric fossil plopped into a museum case- suddenly refined in their presentation.

glad to help, colin...
the "works on cardboard" show is still a possibility... we just need a venue...
